Susan Gray Memorial Award
The Susan Gray Memorial Award was created to honor the memory of Sue
Gray 1947-2006: age 58, a Dental Laboratory Technician from Brookline, NH who
died at home on Tuesday, May 16, 2006 following a courageous battle with
cancer.
Sue was a superb equestrian who served as treasurer for the Hollis Area
Equestrians. She was also an avid trail rider - so what better way to remember
her legacy than to track trail ride hours of our members throughout the year?
TRAIL PROGRAM: How it works
Using trail log sheets - keep a log of
the trail riding hours you ride every time you go out. Submit your time to the
HAE Trail Boss. At the end of the year these sheets are recorded and the member
who logs the most trail hours wins the award. Previous awards included a trophy
with the name of the winner. The HAE Trail Boss will be listed on the trail log
sheets.
For those of you who wish to submit your hours monthly, we will post the
tally in the monthly newsletters so you can keep score of where you are in
relationship to your peers. A little friendly competition if you will.
Important things to keep in mind:
1.Tracking dates: January – December
2.Log rides on Trail Log Sheet provided
by HAE
3.Track is time NOT distance
4.Turn in your sheets to HAE Trail Boss
to be recorded
Deb Jarvis
has volunteered to be the 2024 Trail Boss. Please submit your ride log sheets
to her for tracking purposes!
